Shagun is a Brooklyn-based writer and editor. Her work focuses on home, design, lifestyle, and culture.
Put simply? Shagun captures the beauty of environments, objects, and humans through words. This includes everything from home tours and trend reports to service stories, commerce roundups, designer profiles, cultural deep-dives, and more.
Shagun has covered prominent figures including Anna Sheffield, Nilou Motamed, and Robin Arzón. Uplifting underrepresented voices is always top of mind.
Shagun's work has appeared in Domino, Martha Stewart Living, Apartment Therapy, The Spruce, The Kitchn, Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Lonny, and Beautiful Kitchens & Baths Magazine, among others.
Along with editorial, she also covers branded content and social media strategy. This has included work with Toyota, La-Z-Boy, Sunbrella, Sotheby's International Realty, Formica, and more. Previously, Shagun was an editor at Impact.
Shagun's writing career began at Lonny as an editorial intern. Her roots lie in academic journalism. Shagun wrote for her elementary school yearbook, oversaw her high school newspaper, and reported for her university's publication—so she's geeked to be writing for a living now.
Shagun graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Cognitive Science. Shagun is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, so she's often stretching between writing sessions. Otherwise, you'll find her baking, reading, or strolling through parks.
